Mutual Funds

The idea behind a mutual fund is simple: Many people pool their money into a fund, which invests in various securities, generally stocks and/or bonds. Each investor proportionately shares in the fund’s investment return which is affected by the income (dividends or interest) paid on the securities and any capital gains or losses caused by sales of securities the fund holds, fund’s objective, such as long-term growth, high current income or stability of principal.

Through our clearing firm, COR Clearing, as well as direct agreements with mutual fund companies, Southeast Investments has access to in excess of 17,000 mutual funds.
